Didn’t these used to be the United States?  Have we, in our effort to be strong individuals, forgotten our strength is in unity?  Individualism inspires creativity, freedom, and progress, but without a shared sense of belonging and responsibility for each other, division has weakened our nation.  We separate ourselves on abortion and forget to support young children and families.  We separate ourselves on gun safety and forget mental health is the root problem.  We get color blinded (red/blue) on political issues and forget we need to elect the best candidate.

 

The solution is to reunite the middle.  Connect all the colors and groups.  Combine our collective talent and experience to help this country function again. As workers did to improve conditions, we need to unionize.  A union for those of us who are willing to look at all options. Those willing to learn the facts and understand the issues. Those willing to then turn their knowledge into action and vote.  We can support the current administration by letting them know what is important and suggest solutions.

 

The first priority is to build a real membership with citizens who are ready to help.  Ill put a shout out to my fellow 30million AARP members and suggest we could get this rolling.  Signing up is easy with your first name, your phone number and your email.  There is no other info required.  We must have a membership fee, in part to discourage bots signing up but more importantly WE want to finance our union and not be beholden to any large contributors.  

 

The suggested dues is $20, with the maximum of $10thousand.  Hit the join button when you’re ready.  100% will go into an account and not be touched until we have 10thousand members, and leadership with a clear program.  The tally will be available daily online.  These first 10thousand members will be considered founders.

 

Founders will be encouraged to become involved in the leadership of our Union.  Please share a resume.  Every position is open. Any and all help is welcome.  Ten will be selected to our Board of Directors who will then meet to chart our direction.  We need capable voices and staff to start a podcast and a news halfhour.  We need marketing, software development, hardware design, state leadership, national leadership, media partnerships, a member response team and more.

 

There is no limit to what we can accomplish together.  Money out of politics, push progress on climate, save democracy, encourage entrepreneurship, design better healthcare, address mental health, reimage education, build a lasting immigration policy, make good use of the latest tech advances, support America’s many ally’s and build partnerships with those who are struggling, address real solutions to violence of all kinds, build a strong economy, balance the debt and regain the pride we should all have as Americans.
